The scales swung towards the Kolkata side in the 51st minute, with Roy Krishna breaking the deadlock with a sharp finish. Later, NorthEast United’s Benjamin Lambot put the ball in his own net, a goal that found their players protesting.
In an early start, SC East Bengal recorded their first win in the ISL by beating Odisha FC 3-1.

Diego Mauricio’s goal proved to be a consolation as Odisha saw their winless run continue. Mauricio’s goal was the 100th of the ongoing season.
