ATK Mohun Bagan lead ISL table, SC East Bengal secure first win

It was another typical ATK Mohun Bagan performance ending with a 2-0 victory as they upped the ante in the second half in their Indian Super League (ISL) encounter against NorthEast United FC at Goa’s Fatorda Stadium on Sunday.
The scales swung towards the Kolkata side in the 51st minute, with Roy Krishna breaking the deadlock with a sharp finish. Later, NorthEast United’s Benjamin Lambot put the ball in his own net, a goal that found their players protesting.
In an early start, SC East Bengal recorded their first win in the ISL by beating Odisha FC 3-1.
First-half goals from Anthony Pilkington and Jacques Maghoma put East Bengal ahead before substitute Bright Enobakhare scored late on his ISL debut.
Diego Mauricio’s goal proved to be a consolation as Odisha saw their winless run continue. Mauricio’s goal was the 100th of the ongoing season.
